The Whalemobile - Meet Nile! (overview)

for kids ages 6-14 | entering grades 1-8 Fall 2025

Do you love marine life, but don’t have time to make it to the ocean this summer? Have no fear, Nile is here! This 43 foot life sized inflatable humpback whale is swimming to our library on July 10th. Come and meet Nile and see how fascinating humpback whales can be! We will go INSIDE the whale and talk about how we are similar and different. You will also be able to touch whale artifacts like bones and baleen. 

Please note:

• You must sign up for ONE of our four time slots: 1:00, 1:30, 2:00, or 2:30. Any duplicate registrations will immediately be canceled to ensure we have enough spots for everyone.
• You must be on time for your registered time slot. We cannot guarantee latecomers will be able to participate, nor can we allow admission to a later timeslot.
• Once you register, please check your email for a confirmation. This email will include a link to an introductory video from The Whalemobile. Please watch the video before coming to the program.
• This program is for children ages 6-14. Younger children are unable to participate and will NOT be allowed into the whale. No exceptions. Thank you for your understanding.  
• Parents may peek in and take pictures, however you will not be allowed to enter the whale - it is just for the kids! You will be able to hear everything being said from outside the whale.
