Loan Periods
Please check your receipt for the due date. You may renew most items on-line through the Library’s online catalog; by telephone; in the STELLA Libraries app; or in person.
Borrow as many items as you wish. Limitations will apply for museum passes and board games, as well as ebooks and other downloadable or streaming content.
Borrowing Information
Print (books & magazines), Audio (Audio Books, Wonderbooks)
- 21 day loan period
- May be renewed (up to 2 times) if no hold exists
NEW Adult Print Books (Fiction & Non-fiction)
- 14 day loan period
- May be renewed (up to 2 times) if no hold exists
NEW Entertainment Movies (Hot Picks)
- 2 day loan period
- May be renewed (up to 2 times) if no holds exist
DVDs
- 14 day circulation
- May be renewed (up to 2 times) if no holds exist
Other DVDs (Documentaries, Educational, Children’s Entertainment Movies)
- 14 day circulation
- May be renewed (up to 2 times) if no hold exists
Board Games
- 14 day loan period
- Piscataway Public Library card holders only
- Limit of 2 per checkout
Video Games
- 14 day loan period
Museum Passes
- 4 day loan period
- Overdue museum passes will incur a $10 daily fine
Fine Payment
Piscataway Public Library is a fine-free library. Fines are not charged for overdue items, if checked out at either Piscataway Library location.
Lost and/or damaged items will be billed to the borrower’s accounts for the replacement cost. These items cannot be replaced by the borrower purchasing new items as an alternative.
If replacement costs for lost items belonging to the library are paid, but the items are found within 30 days of payment, the library can issue a refund. However, refunds cannot be issued for replacement costs for lost items found that belong to another STELLA library.
These bills can be paid by cash or check at either of our library branch locations. You can also utilize the STELLA Smart Pay system to pay online with a valid credit card anytime!
