Event Details
The Mid-Autumn Festival is a harvest festival celebrated in Chinese culture. Also known as the Moon Festival, this traditional Chinese holiday has a rich history and several popular legends. Families come together to enjoy the full moon, eat delicious mooncakes, and celebrate the harvest. If you've never tried mooncakes, they are round pastries filled with a sweet or savory filling and traditionally eaten during the Moon Festival, symbolizing the full moon and family reunion.
Enjoy a traditional Chinese dance performance by Wenjun You and join Ms. Peggy for a special storytime to learn about the legend of the mooncake, make one to keep and enjoy a taste of real mooncakes in this Food for Thought workshop! We'll also make a fun craft to celebrate the Moon Festival. Registration required. No late admittance! Thank you!
