Can I volunteer at the library?

The library offers a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year for all ages. Review the options below for more information.

Summer Reading: Children and teens are invited to assist with the annual Summer Reading Club. Orientation typically takes place in June. Check here for the latest details.

Children's Dept Volunteers: School-aged children are invited to volunteer during the school year as space allows. Check here to see what opportunities are available.

Teen Dept Volunteers: Teen volunteers are utilized during the summer and throughout the school year based on availability of time and projects. Check here to see what opportunities are available.

MiY Makerspace: We are looking for volunteers to lead instruction in the library's makerspace, assist with programs, or oversee open hours in the space. Interested applicants for volunteering in the MiY Lab should contact dbaldwin@piscatawaylibrary.org.

Adult Volunteers, including Community Service: This is where you'll find an online application form. Print volunteer forms are also available at both library branches. Adult volunteers are contacted based on availability of time and projects. If you are fulfilling a requirement for service hours, please indicate the number of hours and any deadlines on the application.

Friends of Piscatway Library: Adults interested in volunteering as an active member of the Friends or during book sales should mark the appropriate box when filling our their Friends membership form. Further questions can be directed to 732-463-1633.
