Our Mission

In response to community needs, the Piscataway Public Library provides free and open access to information through professionally selected resources in a welcoming environment. We are a gateway to knowledge which enables the enrichment and empowerment of our whole community.

Our Vision

The Piscataway Public Library will be recognized with pride as an outstanding provider of library services, reflecting the commitment to excellence of Piscataway Library’s Trustees and Staff, and Municipal officials. As a team, we will use every available resource to anticipate and satisfy the informational needs and cultural interests of our community.

All information and services will be free, confidential, and easily and equally accessible.  We will adhere to the highest professional and ethical standards. We will explore all possible options to satisfy customer needs. We will always be available and approachable to those who need assistance.  We will be courteous, respectful and friendly in all our personal interactions.  We will work as a team with colleagues, trustees, organizations, businesses and educational institutions.  We will promote literacy and lifelong learning in our community.
