TEEN & ADULT SERVICES LIBRARIAN/LIBRARY INTERN (PART-TIME)
The Piscataway Public Library is seeking a candidate to fill a part-time position in the Adult/Young Adult Services Department. Responsibilities include: provision of information and reference service, reader’s advisory, collection development in selected areas, computer troubleshooting, and engaging teens through programs and services. The Library serves a culturally diverse population of 50,000+ in central New Jersey through the main library and a branch library. We are looking for an enthusiastic librarian who is committed to providing excellent customer service, and can help with the successful launch of our brand new teen space. The candidate should have a strong knowledge of current computer technology (including new media trends), good people skills, and an ALA accredited MLS and New Jersey certification. Currently enrolled MLS students who have completed 9 credit hours will be considered. Part-time schedule: approximately 8-12 hours per week, including night and weekend hours. Salary: $28.23 per hour minimum for librarian with MLS and New Jersey certification
$23.78 per hour for Library Intern with 9 credit hours completed.
