Piscataway Public Library Invites Everyone Test Their Knowledge of Baseball Facts and
"Step Up to the Plate @ your library" with a National Baseball Trivia Contest being sponsored by the American Library Association and the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
This Year's Program Includes a Special "Take Me Out to the Ball Game"
Theme in honor of the Song's 100th Anniversary.

  • The contest will run through September 1, 2008.

  • There are four categories by age group:  10 and under; 11-13; 14-17; and 18 and up.

  • Each group downloads their own Playbook.

  • Each Playbook poses a series of baseball-related questions to test players' information literacy skills.

  • Players can enter the prize drawing by submitting the completed Playbook either by mail or online.

Everyone who successfully completes the program will be eligible to win the Grand Prize, a trip for two
to the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y.  Twenty First Prize Packages will also be awarded.

As an added bonus,  Piscataway Library customers who enter the "Step Up to the Plate
@ your library Contest" will be eligible for a drawing being held at the Library.
The prize and the winner will be announced at the end of the program in September.
