The library will be sponsoring a Blood Drive on Wednesday, June 19 in the Kennedy Library Meeting Room, 1:30-7:30 p.m., at 500 Hoes Lane. New Jersey Blood Services will once again be running the event. Each pint can save up to three lives.

Each donor will receive 2 NY Mets tickets in the mail. Additionally, there will be a raffle for two pairs of Super Bowl 2014 tickets at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ! NJ Blood Services is raffling off two pairs of tickets for all donors from May 24-January 17. Whole blood donations get one entry and automated red cell donations get two entries into this raffle. Each donor will also receive a Super Bowl wristband.

This is the story of Harvey Milk, an activist who struggled for gay rights and became California's first openly gay elected official.

June is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month. This is an opportunity to examine the history of LGBT
advocacy and celebrate the great diversity of the American people.

Registration for all Summer Reading Programs begins on THURSDAY, JUNE 20.

Throughout July and early August, children, teens, and adults of all ages are invited to register for the library's Summer Reading Program at Kennedy and Westergard Libraries!

Children from birth through Grade 6 are invited to DIG INTO READING this summer at Piscataway Public Library. All summer long, join us for crafts and drop-in activities, Lunch with the Librarian, movies, and special presentations like Dig Into Wildlife, Dinoman - Dinosaurs, magic shows, and more! Drop by anytime between 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 20 at Kennedy or Westergard for a special craft to kick-off the summer! Register at Kennedy or Westergard Libraries to get started. Teens entering Grades 7-12 are invited to go BENEATH THE SURFACE and join the Teen Summer Reading Program to read, participate in Make It Yourself programs and other activities, and earn prizes throughout the summer! All are welcome to KICK-OFF the summer with a special after-hours party on Friday, June 28 at 6:00 p.m. (please resister by calling 732.463.1633 x6). Piscataway Library will also feature an Adult Summer Reading Program, inviting all participants to explore GROUNDBREAKING READS, experiences, and moments throughout the summer. All are encouraged to read, attend library programs and special events, and interact with our local and online communities for a chance to win prizes and have fun!
